The Sony VAIO mini notebooks weighs in at 2.62 pounds and measures 10.54″ x 1.28″ x 7.07″. It comes in three different colors, pink, brown, and white. The starting retail price is at $499.99.
The Sony VAIO W netbook computer is a fully packed netbook that has some nice specifications especially on the display and on the keyboard functionality. The VAIO mini notebook isn’t the cheapest priced netbook on the market, but the focus on the hardware used would make any computer user a happy camper.
The Sony VAIO W currently is shipping with Windows XP Home Edition. This is a good thing as it will more than likely make the netbook run faster. The bad part is that Windows 7 is on the verge of putting XP on step closer to becoming obsolete. I myself am waiting for XP to become completely obsolete because it does what it needs to do. Sony will more than likely install the newer operating on later revisions that they sell.
